Johnny Ortiz is an influential leader who serves with excellence and integrity and a devoted husband of 27 years and father of 3 beautiful children, Anabel, Jonathon and Bella.

He has served as Youth Pastor (15 years) and Youth Director (10 years) for the Church of God South Central Region and is passionate about serving his congregation and community. In 2014, Pastor Johnny and his wife, Ruth Ortiz, founded Catalyst Church in the northwest part of San Antonio. His philosophy is to help people discover their passion, nourish your call and aim for your purpose.

Ruth Ortiz has a passion and dedication in serving the congregation, community and the youth from all different backgrounds.

Ruth graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio (B.S.) and completed her Masters at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary. She served as the Youth Director (12 years) in the Church of God South Central Region and has been serving in Youth Ministry (22 years). Ruth has touched lives across the country, inspiring young women and bringing hope to those in need.
